With over 22 years of experience working in and with local government and in various emergency management roles, the launch of "4 Elements Emergency Consulting" was a commitment to work with communities throughout British Columbia that need assistance with various aspects of emergency management.
A commitment to support preparedness to reduce potential suffering; a commitment to support response when organizations are facing critical emergencies; a commitment to support recovery and build resiliency and community well being following an emergency; and a commitment to support mitigation and building back better to reduce potential suffering in the future. 4 Elements Emergency Consulting is here to assist and provide support when needed.
With a background including over 22 years working in local government in 6 different communities ranging from small towns to large urban cities, I have extensive experience in community safety, law enforcement, emergency program coordination and emergency management. This includes years of experience managing and supervising large departments, front-line staff and volunteers, including within the fire service and other response agencies.
My educational background includes Criminology & Political Science (Douglas College), Enforcement and Investigative Skills (Justice Institute of BC), Building Code (British Columbia Institute of Technology), Management (Thompson Rivers University), and Emergency Management Program (Justice Institute of BC).
Experience wise, I have effectively performed most roles within Emergency Operations Centers with a variety of local governments over the years and for a wide range of emergencies. I have built a solid reputation as being team oriented, reliable and an effective and trusted leader and am happy to provide references upon request.
